The project consisted of approximately 700 tons of steel including built up plate girders for crane beams. This project was done as a design build job where Heartland’s subsidiary, Mound Technologies, Inc. was responsible for the design, detailing and fabrication of the structural steel. This outdoor stage addition on the stadium for the Columbus Crew professional soccer team in Columbus, Ohio. The structural frame was constructed of heavy over-length trusses that were galvanized in Pennsylvania and hauled back to Ohio. This was a fast track project that had to be completed during the winter in order to avoid disruption of the team's soccer schedule. Click on the photo for a larger image. |
